Hello and thanks for visiting my website! I'm Nicole Standring - owner and sole operator of CO Beauty.

I probably should have realised from a younger age that becoming a beautician was my calling. Everyday I'd spend a few hours in front of the mirror (my family would argue more) trying new makeup up techniques and playing with looks/colours. It wasn’t until 2016 that I realised this was something I wanted to pursue as a career, so I moved to Wellington to study makeup artistry at Weltec.

After completing my course, I landed my first job in the industry with Estée Lauder. I was able to put everything I had learnt to practice and loved it! I continued to develop my skills in makeup application, skincare and health. It was a difficult decision to leave Estée Lauder and move to Cromwell to be with my partner but I've been blessed with so many opportunities since.

Prior to launching CO Beauty, I worked in a couple of beauty salons in Cromwell and Queenstown where I continued to grow my skill set and became a qualified nail technician.

Starting my own business was something I knew I wanted to do from the beginning and 2020 seemed like the perfect year to do it. Little did I (we) know, COVID-19 would put a pause on life as we knew it. It was hard to close my doors after only a month of business but it made me even more motivated when business opened again. It’s strange but I probably wouldn’t have had it any other way.
